Been a month since I rode on weekends due ramadhan, so pretty itchy to ride.

Current flavor of the month are the backroads of Langat. The entry to the gravel tracks is just 20 minutes from home, so its pretty convenient.
And should the weather takes a turn for the worse,
there's always the Highway to return on.

I thought there will be at least 10 bikes but the early morning rain reduced the numbers to 6, and later 7.
When I got to the Caltex RV Point, I saw Ariff, Radzi, Mel and the two ladies, Nurul and Justine, both on 650GS.

My GSA was clean, so i too was on a 650GS, borrowed from my wife. There was still light rain when we left Caltex, but by the time we were 10 minutes into the ride,
the rain stopped.
We rode straight to Morib for breakfast.

Breakfast was at this family coffee shop, just 500m from the beach. The home made bread and local coffee was superb

Hisham, whose GSA is still yet to arrive from Europe came on his F4 Agusta, having ridden straight from home to Morib.

We left after one hour there. From the coffee shop we too the coastal road to Jugra.

This general area makes money from Plantation ( Oil Palm ) and fishing. There are numerous fishing villages and about 3 jetties here.

Erosion mitigation for this coastal area. Mangrove thieving activities has exposed the land to direct seawaves with the loss
of foliage.

We stopped for a while here

Then, rode on another 18km along the beach.

We rode to the peak of Jugra Hill but the gate was closed. Out of the 4 times I came here, the gate was opened only once.

We then moved on to the Paragliding Launchpad. Good view from up here.

There were a few Paragliders, including a 10 year old kid who probably is the youngest in the country.

Just fantastic....
fbh_67.jpg

The 10 year old outflew everybody. He managed to stay in the air for 35 minutes, while the adults can only managed 15 at the most.
He also flew the highest.

By the time we left it was 1330, just nice for lunch.

We ate at the foot of Jugra Hill, at Viking Restaurant.

Nurul paid for lunch. Thanks.

When we left Viking it was already 3pm. And the plan was to use a simple offroad route

Interesting Name

We entered offroad at Sri Cheeding

fbl_07.jpg

fbl_10.jpg

Some parts had overhanging branches and deep muddy potholes
fbl_19.jpg

Both the Lady Motorraders did very well offroad. I thought the offroad would be a piece of cake, but the morning rain made it a little more slippery than anticipated.

I am not the only one on the wife's bike. Radzi of Bt Beruntung, left his GSA at home and rode his wife's bike today.
First ride with the group, nice guy. And thanks for the breakfast at Morib and the teh tarik at Kg Lombong.

One of my favorite stretches, smooth gravel flanked by undergrowth. 80km/h feels like 200 on tarmac.

We then crossed a bridge that's not fully complete yet. Pretty steep with loose gravel, but the two girls made it look easy...

We headed for Kg Lombong.

The road got more slippery
fbn_043.jpg

fbn_046.jpg

Looks easy in the picture. But its uphill, and slippery after the morning rain.
fbn_047.jpg

fbn_048.jpg

the girls did alright here too.....
fbn_053.jpg

fbn_055.jpg

There will be houses or roads here soon.

We stopped for our last drink at Kg Lombong

Then we followed Klang River back to Puchong.

Before we split up Justine had a small tipover as the puddle was muddier than she thought. No damage but she was pretty angry
with herself for dropping the bike.

fbn_103.jpg

It was a goood ride with 5 DPs, one Versys and the MV Agusta. The early morning rain delayed our ride by 1 hour, but
the good thing was the skies remained overcast and temperature never crossed 30 degrees.

We had three tipovers but all caused no damage and were very minor.

Till next ride.....Cheers and Ride Safe.

Great pictures again - loved the pictures of the gliders. It looks like that you guys are actively looking to include offroad sections something which most "big bike" riders probably would try to avoid.

LR; The Offroad bits are much more interesting on our big heavy bikes than the usual 250 - 450 cc MX bikes, and I do try to include at least 30% gravel road when the route is planned.

Gradually solving my Photobucket problem for good. Pics should be restored in time. Cheers from KL.

Hey Nik, nice pics & lets hope your photobucket (or what ever you call them!) troubles are behind you.

Happy Hari Merdeka day today :)
