All welcome

Saturday 24th March 2012 (tomorrow) several bikes are meeting up at Big C Hang Dong/Middle Ring Road @ 08:30 to ride south to Mae Ping National Park and then take a little known track through to the new flooded valley / dam at Mae Prik.

If you want to join us, it's going to be a good adventure, it's a motard ride and will get us back to Chiang Mai late afternoon.

This post covers most of where we shall ride

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

The NP guard got quite excited when 9 motorbikes turned up and actually was pretty helpful explaining where the trail was

Nasty bridge with gaps on the trail JB2112 gets stuck and has a slip

I went to Chiang Rai and back yesterday.. And that bit after the mountains where it comes down to the plain.. In the middle of the day.. The air was like an oven.

Certainly was a great day out, definitely wasn't too smoky or too hot for a great days ride. Look forward to doing this route again soon when the new tarmac around the new reservoir is cleaner.

Thanks again for sharing the route Ally!! :lost

I think what made the day so easy was that nobody was pushing anyone, no ego's were challenged, riders rode & didn't moan & groan about the smoke or the heat or their sore arses and the mood remained positive as a result.

Let hope that style is one that is & remains identifiable with other riders on this forum.
