My experience has been that accommodation in the side streets is quieter Phil.
This, being on the main drag, would probably be very noisy; although it looks good at $40.

A nice clean place with aircon, tv, hot water (best water I have had so far, red hot)and a nice outside sitting area so you can watch the world go past. The bike was parked outside on the road till the evening then I was bought in to the sitting area at night and the gates are closed. There is also someone on all night.

200,000 Kip per night over New Year

Bit hesitant to post this as it's how I fell out with the 'other forum', but the 'Oudamsouk' rang a bell after some heavy 'Googling'.

No smoke without fire?

5555 Yes, I remember that - After the first thefts were reported on Tripadvisor, the owner of the Oudomsouk installed safes in the rooms but, if the guests don't use the safe, thefts may still occur as it apparently does.
