Love it. Thanks

Me too!
Alluring.
My favourite Island; is it possible to rent bikes on Lombok now?
Maybe from Senggigi?

This was a 180 km round trip from Kuta to Bangko-Bangko and return via Blongas and the south coast track to Rambutpetung. It's wild and remote, the haunt of illegal gold mining operations where, as one local put it, "the law of the jungle rules". There are no police, no anything except the sweat of a man's brow, the swing of his cangkul and the hope of striking it rich. You can rent bikes in Senggigi and Kuta. IDR 50,000 per day, cheaper for long rentals. But a KLX150 goes for IDR100,000 per day. The bike in the photos is mine and it is well-suited to the local conditions.

Thank you.
Rent one at Kuta, ride Bali island, onto the barge across to Lombok, ride Lombok, back to base. :hmm

You can rent in Kuta, Lombok too. If you want to avoid Bali, Air Asia flies direct to Lombok from KL - daily I think. If you want to ride Bali, then yes hire in Kuta, travel Bali, go to Lombok - ferries run 24/7, take 4-5 hours and are very cheap - travel Lombok and then back to base. Makes good use of a 30 day VOA.

I know BigFella loved coming through there & you've validated how beautiful it is. With the easy, reasonable rental option, it looks like something we should do being so near.
