Just got to Chiang Mai - leaving on an 8 week ride in 7 days

Hi Riders

Arrived CM 48 hours ago and now proud ower of a KLX bought over the bar at Riders Corner in 10 minutes flat.

Off on a 4 day jaunt with John Nash tomorrow to learn how to ride a dirt bike, never done it before as aways been strictlya tarmac man (currently Blackbird & 999S).

Then on to Cambodia and Lao on my bike, have to bus into Vietnam and hire a bike for that bit -what a pain these damn Communists are.

Will be back through CM in about 8 weeks before I head to Koh Mak island for a week of beach life before returning to England and the music festival season kicking off with Glastonbury.

Thought there was a breeze flowing through here... it's Superman!

You move fast my friend. By contrast, I just found out where to put the gasoline in my fully automatic Honda Click scooter, and plan to ride on the outside clockwise ring road loop of Chiangmai tonight for the first time.

Everybody marches to a different drummer I guess...or maybe I'm just slow.
