2012-08-03150311.jpg So here's the story. My XR 600 wasn't ready until 10 am, change tire etc., etc, that's why we had to skip NOB.

2012-08-03141946.jpg But we couldn't resist the temptation and took our bike for a spin. Just behind Doi Kham there's a track we didn't have a go for a long time. If I can trust my GPS it comes out somewhere around Wat Palaad on Doi Suthep.

2012-08-03140634.jpgThe XR managed fine climbing up those steep hill climbs, yet the gearing has to be changed. The first gear is too long and I found myself overworking the clutch on most parts. Not good, as I don't want to fry it.

2012-08-03140510.jpgIt wasn't a long distance trip today, but still had great fun and looking at the watch, we managed to squeeze 6 hours plus out of this mountain over 30 km's of very different conditions.

By the way I find it extremely difficult to insert pictures and files with the new icons. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I wrote this report, clicked preview, couldn't see the preview, it was blank, then pushed back and the whole report was gone. I don't know how everyone else feels about that, but I think riding post has become very difficult in the used manner, the gpx file for instance I uploaded 3 times and still it doesn't show, what's the magic

Hi there Rudi

There is a subtle difference between the upload method

As set out in the post at this link, you will see the method of uploading the map is via the Paper Clip icon.

After I had downloaded it to my computer, I uploaded your gpx to my post using the paperclip icon. I inserted it inline & got this

[ attach]7702[/attach ]

I then changed the code to this

[ gpx]7702;13[/gpx ]

Which gave me this:

GpxViewer

Can you please do me a favour & try to upload the file / any gpx file into a post & follow the guide in the following link.

http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-...186-how-insert-gpx-files-show-google-map.html

And please come back to me to tell me what is different / what goes wrong if it fails.

Thanks very much.

Ally

Ally, thank You. Believe it or not I tried exactly like shown in the tutorial, but it didn't work. Photos was another thing, I posted several photos and the window that came up didn't close after hitting upoad. That was after successfully uploading a couple of pictures, out of a sudden it stopped. Similar with the gpx file I could see it as attachment but couldn't modify it. I will try again and practice this until it will work. Thanks
