Wow, that's one hell of a trip, but just proves the fact you don't need a big bike to have adventure, below is a shot of the route.

This reminds me I need to edit my RideAsia profile. I no longer own a motorcycle. I sold my Kenbo 125, after having ridden her all over Myanmar, to a colleague. She's already used her for her own epic rides.

No, you don't need a big bike... but I will say the suspension matters.

You are correct there concerning the suspension, I rode 20,000 km on a Honda 125 Wave on a 4 month Thailand trip back in 2004 and I was in a lot of discomfort afterwards
