hi,

we got the following information about possible trails in chiang mai:
(1) there is the dirt road that runs parallel to the Pai road starting from Sameoang (back road of doi suthep).
(2) the other dirt road leads from near Sapong (just past Pai) at a village called Ban Tam (cave lodge guest house) to Ban Mae La Lee ( or something like that).

anyone knows if these tracks still exist / been tarmaced already?

Peter - Stop by Rider's Corner in Chiang Mai some time & we can talk about trails in that area, I think these are the ones you're referring to (the dotted lines are trails)
