Reviews say, good try but sluggish performance versus a decent tablet. But if space is a priority this could be a good computer for the road... Many hotels with flat screen TV's now, so will work in most places.

THE GOOD The Intel Compute Stick excels as a media streaming, Web-browsing machine, and it's a $150 PC that can fit into your pocket.
THE BAD The tablet-grade performance isn't suitable for heavy tasks, and spotty Bluetooth connectivity limit this PC's functionality.
THE BOTTOM LINE This inexpensive PC is an exciting experiment, but the tablet hardware can't quite keep up with Intel's vision of a mini-PC.

....

Apart from this large USB stick computer you will at least need a form of keyboard, not easy to find in the hotel?!

By the time you add the keyboard to it, are you really saving much space over a tablet? It runs full windows, so Basecamp & Mapsource will run. But if you had a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet you'd have full version of Windows there too.
