This is turning into a very enjoyable ride and its one that Ally and myself were going to ride last friday but the rain made us decide to give it a miss

After this village the road is more rutted and harder going but still good fun

A very sturdy wooden bridge

Now to ride on and find out where I will join the 5032
DSCF2008.jpg

After 28.7 km according to my speedo I reach the 5032 but on the unpaved section
DSCF2009.jpg

DSCF2010.jpg

This is new for me too as I have never ventured beyond the asphalt surface before, its very rough in places but enjoyable all the same

DSCF2019.jpg

DSCF2020.jpg

Some road improvements are taking place here
DSCF2021.jpg

DSCF2023.jpg

After 13.7 km of the unpaved 5032 I reach the new asphalt that wasnt here on my last ride, its now an asphalt surface for about 1 km further NW than before.
DSCF2024.jpg

Further along and some campers out in the trees
DSCF2025.jpg

Now a good twisty asphalt surface to ride back on but it does get badly pot holed towards Samoeng
DSCF2026.jpg

Todays ride was brilliant and one I would definitely recommend
DSCF2027.jpg

Steven at Pizza N Pasta will now make personal strombolis if you order one the day before, this was simply delicious, really filling and only 169 Baht

Crikey Colin, we were in the same area as one another but on different routes.

Such a small world.

I was at Bo Kaew between 09:00 - 12:00 picking strawberries!

Ally

A little further NW and you would have been in Wat Chan Colin!

Ally - the water buffalo photo is great.

Hi Phil

Ally - the water buffalo photo is great.

I am sure the buffalo recognised me from last week when I insisted on taking pics whilst they layed in the water!

That building will be a coffee / cafe shop and be the front of house for the strawberry farm behind it. The young guy running the place there said it would be called "Samoeng Strawberry". Quite original, don't you think !!

The route through Bo Kaew to Mae Win has deteriorated and is badly cut up, slow going in places. The off road is loose & rutted, the cobbled stretch is still as it was a year ago but easy but the tarmac is near on gone with potholes to sink a scooter wheel, especially along the top ridge approaching Inthanon rear entrance route.

:RO

Ally

Its a great area to ride in Ally and I am sure you would have enjoyed my off road trip
