Shinya-san runs Bill's Factory, a small custom shop in Yokohama. He doesn't make/sell any special parts, he's a good old-school mechanic whom specializes in modernizing old Kawasakis. He also has a passion for vintage Yamaha racers. Enjoy the pics.

Reminds me of an Aussie mate who recently pulled out his original Z1 900 after 20 odd years of storage ,cleaned the carbs, new battery and rode in the Southern Cross Rally around Qld.Something like 4,000Km.The offers he got on the bike he could have swapped for a new harley :!:

That bike is probably a Z2, not a Z1.

I bought a Z1 in the USA back in 1974 (same color), Some of the parts were marked Z1/Z2.

When I checked, I found out that Kawi made a 750cc version of the bike for the Japan market.

Back then, there was a 750cc limit on private bikes in Japan. The police could ride Harleys.

And, of course, after posting the above, I see the 900 logo on the bike.
