During a recent trip to Beijing I thought I would grab a few interesting bike pics.

Some interesting, innovative conversions there for sure.......were most electric? To people not used to being around electric bikes they are so dangerous, as you'll step out into the road without looking because it's quiet.

Totally correct Phil.

This image shows just half the road width at a typical main intersection. As you will see on the right near to the kerb (of each road) is a bicycle lane and that is 2 way (as is any other lane !!!)

So you stop by the kerb side to exit your vehicle & then either hop over the knee high railing or over a kerb looking both ways as indeed you cannot hear the electric bikes zooming toward you.

The chatty pair of 3 wheelers in the pic above can just be seen far right of this pic.

Likewise, the tram is out to get you too. Coincidentally or not??, the bright headlights behind it are from a police car shadowing its progress, perhaps to pick up any pieces!
