I was thinking about where I've slept outdoors in the past and it's many different terrains but never between trees. These systems are great but appear to rely heavily on having two trees/poles either side. Otherwise you're screwed. At least with a tent you have everything you need.

Guess every system has it's good and bad points.

The Amok system cost's around $ 379 including rain tarp and info suggests it comes in at 2.5Kg excluding sleeping matt and bag, pretty heavy unless your riding with a full pannier set up, but i guess we will have to wait they have sold out for 2014 and only taking enquiries for orders for 2015
