A 4x4 trip up Doi Inthanon with the guys

Got a message - "Are you interested in joining us on a 4x4 trip next week". Well, I had been working flat out for the last 2 weeks making maps so a trip away from the computer screen sounded nice. However, I knew from experience that the "easy trip" they promised would be a bit more challenging and that proved to be true this trip also. Just a few pictures and short video bits taken during the trip by various people.

Note to self: Next time keep a bit more to the right as this was a bit of a close call

A short break before the real stuff starts - By the way, this track from Ban Huay Pong on Rd. 4016 which links with Ban Khun Klang on Rd. 1284 close to the junction with Rd. 1009 is being upgraded and widened at the moment.

The road was blocked by people who were going to put up towers so a small detour through the village

The track was slippery and a bit rutted so one of the trucks got stuck and needed to be winched out

Nice pictures and video, it does look a tad slippy in places.
