Distance 130 km

Onto the unpaved

He was going for it and quickly disappeared off into the distance

A convoy of five trucks come the other way

Just past them and a lorry comes the other way, not what I was hoping for

The maize is covered in dust just like everything else along here

I rode this track about six years ago on the KLX 250 and it was a lot more fun back then without all this heavy traffic

Finally I see some greenery

A village up ahead, here I take the left and the track quietens down.
Electricity is being installed along here which is what a lot of the traffic consists of

I saw a couple of bridges under construction, perhaps the road will be paved too

I thought the law was the rider had to wear the helmet not the passenger

Looking at yesterdays track on Google Earth last night and at this point it looked the best option of riding down river to link up with the 105

Sadly no track to follow though, this wouldnt have brought me out at where I turned around yesterday but on another track I rode south of it that had more potential looking at it on GE

I was thinking those large holes was to start making a concrete bridge

The crash helmet is between his legs, not much use there mate if you come off on this rocky track

Now I can enjoy the scenery as I make my way to the end of the track that I was hoping to ride upriver to yesterday

Never far from a Church out in these villages

This looks like I am nearly at the end of the track and that looks like my lunch spot down below

Its lunch, a quick scan to see if I can see the river, which I cant, then its time to ride back

Back at the water crossing and there is a cup left there for people to drink from those deep holes

I stop to inspect my mirror with the GPS connected to it as its wobbling an awful lot and this guy stops to see if I am alright

The bike fell forward off its sidestand offroad a couple of weeks ago and the bit the mirror screws into has half snapped off

I bit further down the road and it completely snaps off, luckily I caught it

I called in at this Castrol Bike Point yesterday to tighten the chain up and today i am here again

An old Suzuki 2 stroke

I was expecting a new part, but no the welding torch was soon applied

He inspects it then decides it needs another go

All fixed for the princely sum of 50 Baht

I am seeing lots of these modified MSX 125 Hondas, I can understand the larger wheels but not putting skinny tyres with inner tubes on a bike that comes with fat tyres and tubeless mag wheels as standard

Chicken Karahi and two garlic naan breads at Bismillah, 270 Baht, spicy, filling and delicious
