Quite a chilly ride down to Mae Sot and notably colder up in the hills
The seriously bad pot holed section of the 105 has now been resurfaced and is a pleasure to ride
For a while I was thinking I might get to ride the entire journey on asphalt but there is still a short section that hasn't been finished yet, perhaps in February when I ride here again it might be completed
At my lunch stop by the river Moei and these two are busy making charcoal
They are going to get a few bags of charcoal from that large tree
Upon arriving in Mae Sot I find the Smile guest house is no more, this has been my home for most of the last thirteen years when I stay in Mae Sot.
I check in at the Baifern guest house where a single room is 150 Baht
Looks like this will be my base here from now on
Chicken Karahi and three chapatis at Bismillah 260 Baht
