Total distance 68 km

I didn't think todays trip was going to happen as the bikes steering lock wouldn't unlock, 10 minutes of swearing and keeping on trying finally paid off.
Tomorrow its a trip to Castrol Bike Point to get some WD 40 or the equivalent sprayed in the barrel

Exploring all right turns heading north on the 108 today and the first one leads to a busy Monk

A track links me to the Mae Sariang endur0 track

The next one leads to Wat Tham Phra Boran

An English teacher is there plus some pupils

An interesting guy to chat with was the teacher

He tells me there is another building being erected up the stairs so I walk up only to see there is a track leading to it so that's the next track to find

The track through the woods

Quite a few more buildings too, I like how most of the trees are left intact

Along another track I come upon these, at first I thought it looked like a broom handle with something stuck on it but its a growing plant.
Does anyone know what it is?

Not much along this track, I guess bamboo cutting was its purpose

Another unused track appeared to be a bottle dump

Now for the main event, when I looked at yesterdays track and zoomed in on Google Earth I noticed a track higher up off the 106 that went down towards my new find.
The start of this track is on the North Thailand GPS map but where it splits only the top one is mapped, its the bottom one that I am interested in

Lovely views now as I climb

Through the trees I can see the track going on

Normally cattle move but this lot didn't want to

Even the youngster didn't budge

Finally I reach the end of the line at Ban Kat according to the Garmin gps map.
This settlement is also on the Nam Mae Om Long the same as yesterdays find and is about 4 km north of it but sadly no way to link up

Another friendly village

Now to ride home after another good find

Back in Mae Sariang its the sunday market

Chicken with garlic and pepper and rice at Intira restaurant 85 Baht, tasty and a lot of chicken too
