At the junction to go to Huai Hom
About 6 km north of Huai Hom the asphalt surface starts, this was not there about nine months ago
Finally its looking bright again
The rain has stopped which is good news as I was sliding a lot on the damp red shit
In Pa Pae and every village out here has a new church, there were lots of tracks going off in different directions out around here
Once on this surface I am not so concerned about rain
Its not looking so good now and while not heavy the rain is annoying
The track I have just rode on, here it starts spitting with rain which is not needed
A large village that isn't on the map
I am having my lunch here and the truck that was stuck comes by
I was wondering whether to bother opening the gate as it was probably only to get the crops in.
Luckily I did as it went through and linked up
A bit further upstream and another bridge the same
I ride back to the river and the truck is well and truly stuck
I reach the other end of a track I had to turn around on a few days ago and its the same story here, overgrown with fallen trees and unused.
The waypoint I left at the other end is 1800 metres away so no point in walking it
The water is too deep to ride through so its the bridge for me
Plenty of wooden bridge crossings and this single track suspension bridge was a bit wobbly

A side track takes me to a small settlement that is a dead end
