3G SIM provider for Northern Thailand-Recommendation ?

I'll be visiting Northern Thailand in January. Just pavement riding
Can anyone tell me which phone company is providing the best prepaid 2-3G simcard deal for that region ?
I've read AIS One-2-Call has improved since 2014 and they have a 1 month unlimited deal for ~800 baht.

Bill - Its a toss up between AIS & DTAC


I carry two phones on a trip, one of each of the above carrier in each phone. Mae Sam Lap/ Salaween River/ Mae Sariang / Myanmar border, last year only DTAC was working there.

Phil,yes I do plan to visit those areas, road conditions allowing.
