I finally went & bought an LG large flat screen TV that has 3D capability.
Then I remembered that my Lumix DMC-FT3 point & shoot can take 3D photos.
Well I've finally taken one to see how it turned out, & as a gimmick, I think it's not to bad.
The file saves as an .mpo but I had to use a different program (StereoPhotoMaker) to re-save it without any editing to make it work. (Just open in program then save as .mpo)
