3-6-18 A Hot Days Ride In Oxfordshire Plus The Great Barn

A hot sunny start to the day and the weather forecast was to stay like it all day, and thankfully the met office got it right



Nice scenery in Hampshire the county that I live in







Riding through a small village in Oxfordshire and today they have a fete on









The remaining towers of the Didcot power station



A lovely twisty road



Now a bit of offroad to get on the famous Ridgeway track to my picnic spot







Vehicles are not permitted further along here

A bit of single track to get back out again

I take a side track that I have never been on before and it takes me to a good find

The Great Coxwell Barn at N51.64432 W001.61218

A couple I met there told me about getting the barns reflection in the lake

A church along the ride home that I photographed travelling in the other direction a few weeks ago



A Salisbury steak with potatoes, cabbage and gravy was soon cooked once I got home

Great barn find.
Those Beaulieu Abbey in Hampshire Monks were very busy in their time.
I had the pleasure of visiting the magnificent Beaulieu Abbey (and car museum) a few years ago with Tim.
