Smoke going up everywhere
For a few years now its ride over a Bailey's bridge or through the water at this point
Now a new bridge and a good road surface has replaced it, sadly this good surface doesnt go all the way to Mae Sam Laep and there is still a shitty section but not for as long as previously
The Salawin is down but I doubt it gets much lower here
More fires
Not far past the checkpoint a new bridge is being built, I wonder if the road will then be paved to the refugee camps
This field is always green as it has a river running right next to it
Thankfully this better surface has replaced the bulldust that used to be here
Roadside maintenance
Someone had put their vehicle in the ditch
Just past the lorry and something is going to happen here, I might be riding on a concrete road before too long
For a water supply
The shelter where I often stop for lunch is at a funny angle now
Now to take this rocky track to Sop Moei
Care is needed in places but its much more pleasant than what I was riding on yesterday
It gets busy along here
