27-12-15 Mae Sariang Tracks Heading West Off The 1270

Total distance 147 km

A bit of single track to start with, a fun one that I first found a couple of weeks ago

Lots of trees chopped down with some prepared that weren't there last trip







Now to explore another single track where I turned around at the water crossing, hopefully today I will cross and it will link up with a track that goes over the mountain to Mae Tho



It was a slippery water crossing so I walk through alongside the bike

Once through the first problem arises and the bike wont pull up the loose surface so its rev it and walk alongside

About 100 metres later its another water crossing

Whilst the crossing wasn't tricky again its too steep for the KLX so its walk with it again

Looking back down and the dust cloud has settled

The track soon comes to a dead end so its back through one water crossing to try another track

This again soon comes to a water crossing but theres no track on the other side









A third track takes me here and I can see a track going on through the trees





Then its this, all that work and no link up





Back to the village and take the track that I know exists to Mae Tho





Baby suddenly wakes up

Now closing in on Mae Tho, I have only ever rode this once before, then I was on the 250 and I fell off along here, today that was not repeated



There are side tracks going off that I explore



This blockage was annoying as the gps showed it as a loop







in Mae Tho and now to ride home

Chicken from the market 75 Baht and fries from Intira 70 Baht

You're filling in that big blank area nicely. Lots of village dots to the north east, so presumably trails lead there.

Those dots are on the to do list Phil don't worry.

I prefer to do things methodically and am working northwards doing the west turns but don't know how far up I will go before turning my attention to the east side.

Sometimes Christian is riding with me, then we do more towards the Salawin side of the 108, the 1270 is my solo project
