Distance 114 km
Treated myself to a new THH motocross helmet for this trip, 1900 Baht in the UK.
I have been using their helmets for the last twenty years and find them okay
Its the first proper ride on the Wave today, I was hoping to have all the modifications done and accessories added by now but the YSS gas rear shocks and the front fork upgrade kit still hasnt arrived from Bangkok.
I called in at CMS on the ride home and he is hopeful they will be here in another day or so then he can put them on and set it up for me
The irrigation canal along the little short cut off the 107 that means I avoid riding into Mae Rim
Then its the 3009 for an enjoyable ride along its scenic length to reach the 1095
A short unpaved track that is a dead end
On the 1095 I notice a paved road that isnt on Auke's map so I take a look only to find the ice cream man waiting for me
20 Baht was gladly handed over in return for this
Now on the straight but a bit of a rollercoaster road to get to the Mae Taeng river, I noticed lots of roads going off on both sides that have yet to be mapped.
If I am going to be here waiting for my suspension I guess these need exploring
The paved section ends in the same place and its this short dirt track to get to the other paved road
I cant remember seeing this much water flowing over the weir from where the irrigation canal starts from
I found two fires burning today to my surprise
Here he comes with more to burn
Riding over the Ping river on the way home
These looked like they had been cut but they were just bent over
This road was another one that wasnt on Auke's map, in fact around here there are lots of unmapped ones going off in all directions, plenty of work left for me to get on with
Jeera chicken and garlic naan at India Grill 180 Baht.
Tonight was the first time I have ever tried this meal and I was impressed with it
