Looks like the "standard" 2017 Honda CRF 250 L is lower than the previous model, designed for the Thai market.

What seems to be harder then in the older model , two up (europen) the bike did not dive as much as my one with the stock spring .

The Dog Bone is 5 mm longer as on the older Model , what lower the rear end . Under the rear fender i messure also -40 mm to the stock 2014 model.

Could not messure the shock lengt.

Kickstand is shorter too.

And there are some more changes .

Dash has now a rev Counter .

Shifter now with a hinge.

But Break is still without one .

new Header and Muffler with much bigger Pipe diameter .

And the Lamda sensor is now in the Header next to the Oil Filler Cap and not in the CylinderHead Exhoust Port . The opening there is gone means new Head.
The new Lamda Probe is a different Type with more then one Wire and with the different location that means a different wirering loom and i guess
a new not compatible ECU . The ECU has also a new location (could not find it )
The black Plastic Part arount the Cooling Water expansion tank has now Cooling Air Slots for the Recifier and the space of the ECU on the 2013-2016 model is emty . Also the Bank angle sensor has a new position (behind the Horn ) means the subframe under the right shroud is different .

And a new Tail light .

I bought the CRF250L 2017 in Thailand and raised it.
In the back I put a YSS shock absorber (the stock is quite bad, so would have changed it anyway).

For the front fork you need to change two parts (both are OEM parts used on the 2013-2016 model):

12: ROD 51426-KZZ-901
13: DAMPER, FR. 51430-KZZ-901

Hi Schrauberklaus.
Am planning to buy a new crf250l next month.
The problem is, as mentioned, the lower seat hight.
Been to several shops but they don't understand what I'm talking about.
At Big Wing Hua Hin a nice lady showed me a brochure. In the specifications the seat was 875mm high.
Of course she didn't know that it was the 2014 model......
At other shops the head of the mechanics told me the fork had to be changed and it comes with a cost of 20,000baht.

I'm 1,80m with long legs.
Just sold my Honda cb300f because it was very unconfortable for long journeys and also want to do durt roads.

Do you think it's a good idea to buy the crf250l 2018 model and raise the seat and bars with 1 inch?
I aske you this because nobody here follows me on the suspension problem, even if I show them what they have to change...

Kurt.
