Distance 112 miles/180 km
on Saturday I was out riding along some of the country lanes near my house that I used to ride my moped on 44 years ago
One of these things is responsible for thousands of trees in this area being cut down
Those yellow windows are very striking
I was hoping to find a way to the windmill on Saturday but didn't have much time and only succeeded in riding around in a circle and not finding the entrance
Now starting sundays trip and hopefully better luck as I have all day if necessary to find it
A charity cycle race is taking place today
Just down the road from the windmill is the Ancient Farm.

The sheep certainly look like an ancient breed
The people here tell me the windmill is now a private house and I find a paved road leading to it
Up close it doesn't have the same charm as from a distance
Surprised to see this abandoned house next to the windmill, a house here is worth a lot of money
I walk around and decide this field will be my way out and hopefully back to the paved road

The Bm is fine on this sort of offroading
A short section of overgrown then I am soon back on the highway
A while later its more offroad to get to the river Test
Lots of dogs in the water today
Now to ride over this bridge and hopefully onto the paved highway
No luck as there was a locked gate there so I had to backtrack
A couple of old cars on the ride home
Back home for my English sunday roast dinner
