On the 4016 to ride some tracks I found years ago

I always remember this area as where lots of roses were growing

Now on this offroad track for the first time in a few years and its been widened and graded now

The dried up gulley that caused me grief years ago as the tracks to my left would go to it but I only ever found one crossing point

Lunch break for the Burmese workers

Because the tracks have been made easier I am making better progress than I expected to

I Mapped the track to the left before but not the one to the right, I leave it for another time as I am hoping to ride through the hills ahead

From this point it looks like some buildings along the unmapped track

All these tracks now lets try to find the right one

This appears to be the only one at the co ordinates I got from GE

A bit further and it finishes

No joy finding what I was hoping for

I go back to check out the other unmapped track and the ice cream man turns up, I relieve him of two for 10 Baht and he rides off starting a mystery for a couple of hours

Now I have a wild pig for company

That certainly adds a bit of colour to things

The buildings I saw were not a settlement and I only saw one person along this track, I was expecting to see the ice cream man ride back but I never saw him and wondered where he went, did he know another way out?

Now to ride on and take the left which was a dead end last time and I have no reason to think it will be any different this trip

Looking back and I hope thats not smoke as I have to ride back that way

That looks like my lunch spot just ahead

While I am having my lunch the ice cream man beeps and rides past, he wasn't abducted by aliens after all

I think I can confidently say that I know where that is going

The end of the track just like last time with only a few workers here

Riding back and the workers are following me

What I thought was smoke was dust from the tractors on the dry soil

I take the other track which will take me to Ban Pa Wai village not far from the waterfall

An interesting looking tree

The paved track on the top of the hill is the one I rode yesterday whilst looking down at the unpaved one I am riding today

Approaching Ban Pa Wai

Happy smiling people here

A paved track goes out of the village and turns to unpaved here.
I leave it for another time as I can see it links up with a few others and I am not ready to explore this area yet, it can wait until next holiday

Back in the village

Now on the 4017 and heading home

Chicken 65 from T&T Indian Food 160 Baht.
I thank Randeep for feeding me on this trip as this will be my last meal from him until I return and he tells me he might have a restaurant open next time if things go to plan
