This road was still unpaved on my last trip here but now its a well surfaced asphalt road to the Wat on the hill

Yesterday afterenoon I was here as well and it wasnt so hazy, I didnt take any photos as I had enough from yesterdays ride and left it until today.
Possibly as the sun is a lot higher now the photos are not as nice

I have no idea what this place is, it wasnt here a few years ago.
This concrete road goes round in a circle
IMG_3211.JPG
All inside a wall and iron fence
IMG_3212.JPG
These footpaths dont look like they have seen much recent use
IMG_3213.JPG

IMG_3214.JPG
I ride the footpaths as well
IMG_3215.JPG

IMG_3216.JPG
This footpath was a dead end and it was a bit of a struggle turning the Wave around

Back outside the entrance

IMG_3219.JPG
Maybe this reveals what is inside, its a shame all the work and its just being left for nature to reclaim it

The Huay Mae Lamao has a fast flow

A new bridge has been built over the river
IMG_3231.JPG
This bridge sags in the middle, no cracks anywhere to suggest it has sunk though
IMG_3232.JPG
Once across the bridge its unpaved in both directions
IMG_3233.JPG

This still Huay Mae Lamao held back by the dam

Thanks Capt'n. My planned trip there turned into a run to Mae Sai

It's a development project for a new pond (or lake or reservoir more likely) which I guess never happened. The middle words บ่อน้ำ (bor nam) are the giveaway.

Roger

Thanks Roger, that makes sense, shame it didnt happen though
