Firstly, fitting LED lights or indicators.
Does anyone know if I need to change the relay for an LED friendly one, to fit LED indicators?

I had swapped my rear flashers for LED & Kawa @ CM sold me a relay, it was easy to fit & stops the fast flashing.
The old relay is under the seat (roadside, near exhaust) & not behind the headlight as per other online advice you may find. The unit comes with a small diagram, you just need the inclination to get it done.

Alex, the kit you receive from kawasaki, is a complete replacement.

The Kawasaki dealer in Newcastle, Australia sell a 300cc upgrade kit for a Kawasaki KLX250 -- looks like the complete kit is around 100,000 BHT
It LOOKS like a KLX250 BUT.... it definitely doesn't SOUND or RUN like one.

I just rode it on doi suthep from the temple near the zoo up to the top temple in <10minutes, so it feels a bit less slack than when I bought it. I wasn't thrashing it

Phil, this is 1) for the carburated version, here in Thailand it's fuel injected so it won't work. 2) for 100'000 baht more you get a better bike, not just engine-wise but in general, suspensions, weight,...
But nice find.
Got loads of mods on mine, some are a bit of a mission to get (like the 13teeth front sprocket), or modifying the airbox intake to fit a bigger air duct,...
This weekend, I replaced the stock exhaust on my KLX250 with a nice piece of kit from Home Motor Racing Concept in Chiang Mai. Better sound, better performance, and 3 kg less weight. Very nice!

Mike I highly recommend you put a heat guard. I got the same home motor head pipe and burned my MX pants on it (that is if you stand up while riding).
and I have a 2inch circle on my leg from same.

How much lighter is KLX250 than a DRZ400S
Just wondering in regards to spending big bucks on increasing the KLX HP vs just buying a DRZ.
Max, thanks for the tip, i am worried about my pants, and dropping the bike on my leg as well... We were going to wrap it, but that header pipe just looks so nice. Heat guard sound right.
I think the performance gain is mostly aspirational...like how red cars go faster. I do like the feel anyway....

Home Motors is in Mae Rim
they were asking 5000 bt for the system a month or so ago, but I thought they wanted less than that when I went there before.
I'd like one, maybe a group buy is possible.
I took the old header in so they could make a copy, but they wanted me to take the bike in they asked 2500 for that, but iirc they wanted 1500bt before.

I got my wife to speak with him and he quoted her 7500 for a full system with a mega-bomb. Not to sure if that was posted to Pattaya though somethings get a little lost in translation.........
I've got to leave the bike at home this time due to a certain niece finishing Uni and leaving 4 years worth of prized possessions in our house ready for us to take back home for her which will just about fill our pick up.
